About the Journal 

The International Journal of Orthopedic and Orthodontic Research (IJOOR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes original scholarly work in orthopedics, orthodontics, musculoskeletal medicine, craniofacial research, dental and orthopedic biomaterials, oral and maxillofacial sciences, and related clinical and translational research disciplines.

The journal provides a platform for researchers, academicians, clinicians, surgeons, orthodontists, dentists, laboratory professionals, and healthcare experts to disseminate original research, systematic reviews, narrative reviews, case reports, clinical investigations, and evidence-based analyses that contribute to advancements in orthopedic and orthodontic sciences.

IJOOR is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in orthopedics, orthodontics, and related clinical sciences. It provides a platform for researchers, academicians, clinicians, surgeons, dentists, and healthcare professionals to share original research, review articles, case reports, and scientific innovations that contribute to advancements in musculoskeletal and craniofacial healthcare, with a special focus on emerging research and interdisciplinary clinical applications.

Review Process and Publication Ethics 

IJOOR follows the principles and guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in addressing publication ethics, editorial integrity, complaints, appeals, corrections, retractions, and suspected research misconduct.

  1. Peer Review: Each manuscript that passes initial editorial screening is evaluated through a double-anonymous peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned handling editor.

  2. Plagiarism and Similarity Screening: All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin or an equivalent similarity-checking tool. Similarity reports are assessed by the editorial team in context. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated data, falsified information, manipulated citations, or other forms of research misconduct may be rejected or withdrawn in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.

  3. Transparency & Responsibility: Mandatory disclosure of conflicts of interest; clear editorial policies and Article Processing Charges (APCs).

The International Journal of Orthopedic and Orthodontic Research (IJOOR) is a fully open-access journal. There is no submission fee and no peer-review fee.

An Article Processing Charge (APC) is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

  1. Publication Fee: USD 35 / INR 2,000 per accepted article.

  2. The standard APC covers up to five authors. Additional charges may apply for manuscripts with more than five authors, as detailed in the Author Fees (APC) Policy.

  3. The APC supports editorial handling, double-anonymous peer review, similarity screening, typesetting, online publication, digital archiving, and publication-related administrative services.
